Geneva, located in Kane County, is approximately 40 miles west of Chicago. Geneva incorporated as a city in 1887. The city is well known  as a quaint, charming historic town. Geneva has an extensive bike trail system, including portions of the Fox River Trail and the Illinois Prairie Path.

Geneva is also home to the Kane County Cougers baseball team, a Class A minor league baseball team affiliated with the Oakland Athletics.
